ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Sustainable Assets Sdn Bhd is an innovative property development start-up specializing in residential, commercial, assisted living and hospitality developments. Our mission is to create sustainable and community-focused spaces while delivering value to stakeholders. As a start-up, we are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our operations, drive growth, and establish our brand in the property development industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan in alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to define the company’s vision, mission, and long-term objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic conditions to identify growth opportunities.
Operational Management
- Oversee end-to-end property development processes, including feasibility studies, land acquisition, design, construction and sales.
- Establish and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices for efficient project execution.
- Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost controls to ensure profitability.
Team Building & Leadership
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team across various departments (e.g., project management, finance, marketing, sales).
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Provide clear direction and performance feedback to ensure team alignment with company objectives.
Business Development & Stakeholder Management
- Identify and secure funding sources, including investors, joint venture partners, and financial institutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, contractors, consultants and clients.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and public forums.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to local laws, regulations and industry standards in all aspects of property development.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Establish strong governance and reporting frameworks for stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in property development, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end property development projects.
- Start-up experience is highly advantageous.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of property market trends, regulations and construction processes.
- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting and cost management.
